Toronto Chinese Methodist Church

10 Core - B10 Unit

INTRODUCTION

Through the 1990, Canadians were getting serious about the need to become more efficient in their use of energy. They need to get much more for their energy dollars and less wasteful with non-renewable energy.

THE ACCUCOMFORT HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATOR is a novel approach to heat recovery and ventilation for restaurants, institutions and commercial buildings where air quality and low energy cost are a primary concern.

THE ACCUCOMFORT HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATOR combines outstanding features:

A CONTINUOUS SUPPLY OF OUTSIDE FRESH AIR REPLACING INDOOR STALE OR CONTAMINATED AIR WHERE HEAT (ENERGY) IS TRANSFERRED FROM HOT INDOOR TO COOLER OUTDOOR AIR OR VICE VERSA FOR COOLING FROM WARMER AIR OUTDOOR TO COOLER INDOOR AIR BEING EXHAUSTED.

BASIC UNIT:

Control panel is mounted on or near equipment, to control return and supply air fans from one or various points of the building.

The supply and exhaust air sections are equipped with permanent filters to eliminate contaminated air Intake of fresh air is filtered to protect inside. Exhaust or outgoing air is filtered to protect and eliminate too frequent cleaning of heat exchanger cores.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Air being exhausted through cores made of high efficiency aluminum plates that run alternatively exhaust air and fresh air in opposite direction between plates  with energy exchange from one air stream to the other.

The number of cores will determine the size of the unit.

THE HEAT RECOVERY VENTILATOR -ROOFTOP unit was conceived for greater economy of valuable space.

The HRV-ROOFTOP unit combines three (3) sections:

SECTION A:  Air exchanger with cores.

SECTION B: Supply air section attached to core section, with fan and motor to suit the CFM and static pressure of equipment selected.

SECTION C;  Return air section attached to core section by short duct section and equipped with fan and motor to suit the CFM and static pressure of equipment selected.

The unit is constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel for greater resistance to corrosion. Access door shall provide easy serviceability of the unit.

The numbers of cores will determine the size of the unit. However, we offer following basic models:

Model
CFM
2 Core W2 600 to 700
3 Core W3 800 to 1100
6 Core B6 2000 to 2300
8 Core B8 2500 to 2700
10 Core B10 3000 to 3300
